SHRIMP & OKRA SOUP In TURKEY BROTH

This is what happens when I don't really want to do any extensive cooking.  Just toss in the pot and boil with minimal chopping.

INGREDIENTS:

20 Raw Shrimp shells on or off.  Big, medium or little)
6 cups of Turkey broth.
2 cups of Okra.  This time I used frozen.
1 cup of frozen green beans.
3 very small Mexican squash.
A pinch of sage & marjoram chopped.
1/2 teaspoon of each.
Cinnamon
Paprika
Chipotle
Turmeric
Basil
1 small Broccoli floret.
A random assortment of left over frozen filled pasta.  Optional.

Turn the burner to low and start heating the broth.

Shrimp.  Brand does not matter.  If you can get fresh I envy you.

 Add Okra and green beans.

As herbs
 And spices mix in.

Chop up broccoli floret and add to soup.  Do not add the Squash just yet.

After all the ingredients are mix in, turn burner to high and bring all to a boil.   As soon as it boil, turn it back down to low.
Now add frozen shrimp with leggs and shells on.  If you don't want to do this peel them off.   It just adds extra flavor.

The pasta.  This is not a staple, my mom love this type of pasta and bought us quite a collection of pasta, so we've been eating it very  (very) slowly.

Add pasta.
Now dice up squash and add to the pot.  Turn the heat to high again and bring all to a boil.  As soon as it does, turn in back down to low and simmer for one minute.

Mmmmmmm Enjoy.

Note:  If you wondering about the Turkey Broth.   I cut a whole turkey in half.  Froze one part and make soup with the other.  Yummy.
